When references disagree or installation details are incomplete, define what must be resolved before a quotation or sample decision. The review starts with your actual constraints.
Agree what the review must produce
Use the review to turn incomplete information into named decisions. Request these outputs and agree their scope for your project.
- Open questions
- Identify missing or conflicting references, the person responsible for answering each question and the decision it blocks.
- Critical dimensions
- List mounting datums, connection locations and clearance limits that need measurement or buyer confirmation.
- Approval plan
- Set out which drawing, sample and installation checks are needed, who owns them and what must be approved before the next stage.
Separate component review from vehicle validation
A component drawing or dimensional check does not establish cooling performance in the vehicle. Define validation responsibilities and acceptance criteria separately.
- Reference conflicts
- Identify which revision or measured reference takes precedence; do not silently combine incompatible details.
- Proposed changes
- Ask for a record of the proposed geometry, reason for the change and features that still require approval.
- Checks to arrange
- Agree methods, conditions and records for any requested tests, including who will perform them, before treating them as project scope.
